Thursday update: More confirmed coronavirus cases in York and North Yorkshire
There have been three more coronavirus cases confirmed in York today (Thursday, 27 August).
That takes the cumulative total in the city to 959 – a cumulative infection rate of 455.3 cases per 100,000 people.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 5.2 new cases per 100,000 people (11 cases in the week to 24 August). That’s up from 3.8 in the previous seven days (eight cases in the week to 17 August).
In North Yorkshire there were six new cases confirmed today, taking the total to 2,703 – an infection rate of 437.3 cases per 100K.
There are 142 cases in Ryedale (no change), 336 in Selby (up two), 766 in Harrogate (up one), 327 in Hambleton (up two), 572 in Scarborough (up one), 286 in Richmondshire (no change) and 274 in Craven (no change).
There were no more coronavirus related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust reported today – the total remains at 214. The last death recorded within the trust was on 18 June.
The total includes 134 in York Hospital and 80 in Scarborough.
