Thursday update: Another coronavirus death at York NHS Trust and 107 new city cases
A further 107 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Thursday, 19 August).
That takes the cumulative case total to 19,137 – giving an overall infection rate of 9,069.2 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days 678 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 9 (-1.3%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 322.7 new cases per 100,000 people (681 cases in the week to 15 August). That’s down from 347.8 in the previous seven days (734 cases in the week to 8 August).
The English national average is 308.2, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 368.3.
There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and none in the last seven days (as at 19 August).
