Thursday update: 19 new coronavirus cases in York

Another 19 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Thursday, 10 June).
That takes the cumulative total to 12,537 – giving an overall infection rate of 5,952.5 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days 98 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 43 (78.2%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 30.9 new cases per 100,000 people (65 cases in the week to 6 June). That’s up from 26.6 in the previous seven days (56 cases in the week to 30 May).
The English national average is 50.3, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 54.
There have been no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area in the last seven days (as at 10 June).

In North Yorkshire, there were 30 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 30,578 – an infection rate of 4,947.5 cases per 100K.
There are 1,904 cases in Ryedale (up five), 5,306 in Selby (up five), 7,872 in Harrogate (up ten), 4,279 in Hambleton (no change), 5,656 in Scarborough (up one), 2,675 in Richmondshire (up five) and 2,886 in Craven (up four).
There were no coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.
That leaves the total at 592 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals). The last death was reported on 3 June.
There were no coronavirus patient admitted to the trust on 6 June, and two in the last seven days.
