Sunday update: York coronavirus case rate rises above national average

Another 112 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Sunday, 31 October).

That takes the cumulative case total to 25,433 – giving an overall infection rate of 12,052.9 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 946 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 71 (8.1%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 446.9 new cases per 100,000 people (943 cases in the week to 27 October).

The English national average is 435.8, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 425.9.

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and two in the last seven days (as at 31 October).
