Sunday update: York coronavirus case rate falls below the national average
Another 83 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Sunday, 22 August).
That takes the cumulative case total to 19,432 – giving an overall infection rate of 9,209 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days 679 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 7 (-1.0%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 316.1 new cases per 100,000 people (667 cases in the week to 18 August).
The English national average is 320.5, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 362.9.
There were no coronavirus death in the City of York Council area reported today, and two in the last seven days (as at 22 August).
