Sunday update: Another 20 coronavirus cases confirmed in York

Another 20 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Sunday, 13 December).

That takes the cumulative total to 5,899 – giving an overall infection rate of 2,800.8 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days there have been 146 positive Covid-19 tests in York – an increase of 25 (20.7%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 61.2 new cases per 100,000 people (129 cases in the week to 9 December). That’s down from 68.8 in the previous seven days (145 cases in the week to 2 December).

In North Yorkshire, there were 114 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 14,493 – an infection rate of 2,344.9 cases per 100K.

There are 802 cases in Ryedale (up five), 2,298 in Selby (up 15), 3,851 in Harrogate (up 29), 1,806 in Hambleton (up nine), 3,230 in Scarborough (up 39), 1,071 in Richmondshire (up seven) and 1,435 in Craven (up ten).

There were no more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.

That leaves the total at 327 across the trust.
