Sunday update: Another 128 coronavirus cases in York and North Yorkshire

Another 47 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Sunday, 20 June).

That takes the cumulative case total to 12,853 – giving an overall infection rate of 6,102.5 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 245 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 108 (78.8%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 83.1 new cases per 100,000 people (175 cases in the week to 15 June).

The English national average is 85.5, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 90.

There have been no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and five in the last seven days (as at 20 June).

In North Yorkshire, there were 81 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 31,183 – an infection rate of 5,045.4 cases per 100K.

There are 1,938 cases in Ryedale (up two), 5,459 in Selby (up 15), 8,039 in Harrogate (up 27), 4,331 in Hambleton (up 11), 5,697 in Scarborough (up nine), 2,738 in Richmondshire (up seven) and 2,981 in Craven (up ten).

NHS England no longer issues figures for deaths in hospitals at weekends.

There was one coronavirus patient admitted to the trust on 13 June, and three in the previous seven days.
