Sunday update: Another 110 coronavirus cases confirmed in York

Another 110 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Sunday, 7 November).

That takes the cumulative case total to 26,247 – giving an overall infection rate of 12,438.6 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 814 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 132 (14%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 424.1 new cases per 100,000 people (895 cases in the week to 3 November).

The English national average is 399.7, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 414.

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and four in the last seven days (as at 7 November).

In North Yorkshire, there were 321 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 77,370 – an infection rate of 12,466.8 cases per 100K.

There are:

  • 5,371 cases in Ryedale (up 31) – 537.5 case rate per 100K
  • 12,472 in Selby (up 65) – 487.5
  • 21,670 in Harrogate (up 75) – 599.2
  • 10,629 in Hambleton (up 34) – 418.8
  • 13,927 in Scarborough (up 72) – 494.8
  • 6,140 in Richmondshire (up 20) – 442.9
  • 7,161 in Craven (up 24) – 446.5.

At weekends, NHS England does not issue updates on coronavirus-related deaths at trust hospitals.

There were eight coronavirus patients admitted to the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust trust on 31 October, and 78 patients in hospital on 2 November.
