Sunday update: 295 new coronavirus cases in York and North Yorkshire

Another 63 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Sunday, 25 July).

That takes the cumulative case total to 16,840 – giving an overall infection rate of 7,995.5 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 661 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 392 (-37.2%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 444.4 new cases per 100,000 people (936 cases in the week to 21 July).

The English national average is 532.1, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 629.1.

There have been no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and one in the last seven days (as at 25 July).

In North Yorkshire, there were 232 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 41,733 – an infection rate of 6,752.3 cases per 100K.

There are:

  • 2,463 cases in Ryedale (up 15) – case rate 303.4 per 100K
  • 7,039 in Selby (up 41) – 571.6
  • 10,851 in Harrogate (up 47) – 509.9
  • 6,076 in Hambleton (up 44) – 666
  • 7,534 in Scarborough (up 40) – 620.6
  • 3,732 in Richmondshire (up 17) – 673.7
  • 4,038 in Craven (up 28) – 682.5.

At weekends, NHS England no longer reports coronavirus deaths in hospitals.

There were four coronavirus patients admitted to the trust on 18 July, and 30 in the previous seven days (up six).
