Saturday update: Two more coronavirus deaths within York NHS Trust

Two more coronavirus-related deaths within the York NHS Trust were reported today (Saturday, 7 November).

There were also another 58 Covid-19 cases confirmed in York.

This takes the cumulative total to 4,098 – giving an overall infection rate of 1,945.7 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days there have been 393 positive Covid-19 tests in York – which is down by 52 (-11.7%).

The provisional seven-day rate for new Covid-19 cases in York is 178.52 per 100,000 people as at 6 November. The latest validated data, as at 1 November, is 187.1.

In North Yorkshire, there were 301 new confirmed Covid-19 cases today, taking the cumulative total to 9,652 – an infection rate of 1,561.7 cases per 100K.

There are 504 cases in Ryedale (up eight), 1,510 in Selby (up 48), 2,835 in Harrogate (up 70), 1,334 in Hambleton (up 32), 1,692 in Scarborough (up 104), 788 in Richmondshire (up 14) and 989 in Craven (up 25).

There were two more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today. We can’t confirm on the weekend whether they were at York or Scarborough Hospitals.

That takes the total at 239. We don’t have an up-to-date breakdown of that figure between York and Scarborough Hospitals.
