Saturday update: Six areas of York have three coronavirus cases or more

Another 11 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Saturday, 29 May).

That takes the cumulative total to 12,400 – giving an overall infection rate of 5,887.4 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 46 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 22 (91.7%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 15.2 new cases per 100,000 people (32 cases in the week to 24 May).

The English national average is 24.8, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 37.3.

There have been no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area in the last seven days.

In North Yorkshire, there were 15 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 30,255 – an infection rate of 4,895.2 cases per 100K.

There are 1,894 cases in Ryedale (no change), 5,225 in Selby (up one), 7,760 in Harrogate (up six), 4,236 in Hambleton (up one), 5,631 in Scarborough (up five), 2,653 in Richmondshire (down one) and 2,856 in Craven (up three).
