Saturday update: One more coronavirus related death in York

A further 140 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Saturday, 12 February).

That takes the cumulative case total to 52,941 – giving an overall infection rate of 25,089.1 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 1,343 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 3,137 (-70%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 807.1 new cases per 100,000 people (1,703 cases in the week to 8 February).

The English national average is 748, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 613.5.

There was one coronavirus death in the City of York Council area reported today, and three in the last seven days (as at 12 February).
