Saturday update: Another 751 coronavirus cases in York and North Yorkshire today

A further 170 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Saturday, 30 October).

That takes the cumulative case total to 25,321 – giving an overall infection rate of 11,999.8 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 964 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 99 (11.4%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 449.7 new cases per 100,000 people (949 cases in the week to 26 October).

The English national average is 452.1, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 436.

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and two in the last seven days (as at 30 October).

In North Yorkshire, there were 581 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 74,223 – an infection rate of 11,959.7 cases per 100K.

  • 11,990 in Selby (up 80) – 527.8
  • 20,731 in Harrogate (up 198) – 537.3
  • 10,252 in Hambleton (up 68) – 504.7
  • 13,348 in Scarborough (up 96) – 502.1
  • 5,902 in Richmondshire (up 39) – 385.2
  • 6,917 in Craven (up 45) – 603.4.

At weekends, NHS England does not issue updates on coronavirus-related deaths at trust hospitals.

There were ten coronavirus patients admitted to the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust trust on 24 October, and 61 in the previous seven days (up 22).
