A further 56 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Saturday, 30 January).
It takes the cumulative total to 11,047 – giving an overall infection rate of 5,245 cases per 100,000 people.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 233.1 new cases per 100,000 people.
The English national average is 330, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 226.5.
There have been two more coronavirus-related deaths in the York council area, and 30 in the last seven days (up two / 7.1%).

In North Yorkshire, there were 159 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 25,626 – an infection rate of 4,146.2 cases per 100K.
There are 1,595 cases in Ryedale (up five), 4,126 in Selby (up 32), 6,611 in Harrogate (up 53), 3,635 in Hambleton (up 33), 4,975 in Scarborough (up 12), 2,200 in Richmondshire (up 15) and 2,484 in Craven (up nine).
There were three more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
That takes the total to 488 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).
