Saturday update: 32 more coronavirus cases in York

There were 32 more coronavirus cases confirmed in York today (Saturday, 20 February).

It takes the cumulative total to 11,692 – giving an overall infection rate of 5,551.3 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 150 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – a decrease of 47 (-23.9%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 74.1 new cases per 100,000 people.

The English national average is 131.1, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 149.8.

There have been three more coronavirus-related deaths in the York council area, and 16 in the last seven days (up three / 23.1%).

In North Yorkshire, there were 61 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 27,596  – an infection rate of 4,465 cases per 100K.

There are 1,753 cases in Ryedale (up four), 4,471 in Selby (up 11), 7,161 in Harrogate (up 17), 3,950 in Hambleton (up seven), 5,233 in Scarborough (up ten), 2,404 in Richmondshire (up six) and 2,624 in Craven (up six).

There were five more coronavirus-related death reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

That takes the total to 565 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).
