Saturday update: 28 new coronavirus cases in York

Another 28 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Saturday, 12 June).

That takes the cumulative total to 12,590 – giving an overall infection rate of 5,977.6 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 127 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 64 (101.6%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 38.9 new cases per 100,000 people (82 cases in the week to 7 June).

The English national average is 60.2, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 64.8.

There have been no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area in the last seven days (as at 12 June).

In North Yorkshire, there were 47 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 30,667 – an infection rate of 4,961.9 cases per 100K.

There are 1,908 cases in Ryedale (up two), 5,325 in Selby (up nine), 7,891 in Harrogate (up ten), 4,287 in Hambleton (up three), 5,665 in Scarborough (up five), 2,683 in Richmondshire (up six) and 2,908 in Craven (no change).

NHS England no longer issue updates on deaths in hospitals at the weekend.

There were no coronavirus patient admitted to the trust on 6 June, and two in the previous seven days.
