Queen Margaret’s students ‘are an inspiration’

r A Level results at the school today.

Sue Baillie said:

I am hugely proud of the achievements of all our students in this year’s A Level examinations. After the most challenging of years they have been rewarded with grades which enable them to pursue their dreams.

Students at the Escrick school have achieved excellent A level results despite being dealt the most difficult of hands.

Having not sat their GCSE examinations due to the pandemic, their A levels were the first external examinations this cohort have ever sat.

The results will see the Queen Margaret’s girls go on to pursue their very individual passions, many at prestigious Russell Group universities such as Bristol, Durham and Edinburgh, and some overseas as they stretch their wings to the USA.

Mrs Baillie added: “QM girls are much more than the grades they attain, they are successful, tenacious and ambitious individuals and the resilience they have shown under unprecedented conditions is remarkable, they are an inspiration to us all.”
