New forecast issued for the peak river level in York

A new forecast has been issued for the rising waters in York.

The peak level of the River Ouse has been revised downwards.

The modelling now suggests that it will rise to 5.1m at 11.45am tomorrow (Tuesday).

That is down from the previous forecast of 5.22m.

At 10.30am the river had reached 3.85m.
