More weather warnings for snow and ice
It’s not over yet.
The Met Office has issued a snow warning which covers York, between now and 8pm tonight.
This is what to expect:
- Possible travel delays on roads stranding some vehicles and passengers
- Possible delays or cancellations to rail and air travel
- Some rural communities could become cut off
- Power cuts may occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected.
And there’s a separate warning of ice between midnight and 11am tomorrow (Saturday, 9 January).
