Monday update: Two more coronavirus deaths in York NHS Trust

Another 86 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Monday, 16 August).

That takes the cumulative case total to 18,839 – giving an overall infection rate of 8,927.9 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 666 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 63 (-8.6%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 321.3 new cases per 100,000 people (678 cases in the week to 12 August). That’s up from 319.4 in the previous seven days (674 cases in the week to 5 August).

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and five in the last seven days (as at 16 August).

  • 7,854 in Selby (up 29) – 296.6
  • 12,243 in Harrogate (up 51) – 267.4
  • 6,733 in Hambleton (up 24) – 199.1
  • 8,499 in Scarborough (up 35) – 288.8
  • 4,169 in Richmondshire (up 19) – 262.4
  • 4,459 in Craven (up 17) – 235.4.

There were two coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.

That takes the total to 613 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).

There was one coronavirus patients admitted to the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust trust on 8 August, and 18 in the previous seven days (down 11).
