Monday update: Two more coronavirus deaths in York – but another sharp drop in cases
Two more coronavirus-related deaths were confirmed at York Hospital today (Monday, 30 November).
And there were another 14 Covid cases in York. That takes the cumulative total to 5,646 – giving an overall infection rate of 2,680.7 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days there have been 157 positive Covid-19 tests in York – a decrease of 125 (44.3%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 96.9 new cases per 100,000 people (204 cases in the week to 26 November). That’s down from 137.7 in the previous seven days (290 cases in the week to 19 November).

In North Yorkshire, there were 63 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 13,271 – an infection rate of 2,147.2 cases per 100K.
There are 732 cases in Ryedale (up seven), 2,104 in Selby (up nine), 3,572 in Harrogate (up 14), 1,708 in Hambleton (up seven), 2,875 in Scarborough (up ten), 977 in Richmondshire (up three) and 1,303 in Craven (up 13).
There were eight more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today. That includes two in York Hospital and six in Scarborough.
It takes the total to 303.
