Monday update: One more coronavirus death in York NHS Trust hospitals

A further 113 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Monday, 15 November).

That takes the cumulative case total to 27,217 – giving an overall infection rate of 12,898.3 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 863 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 62 (7.7%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 399.5 new cases per 100,000 people (843 cases in the week to 11 November). That’s down from 390.5 in the previous seven days (824 cases in the week to 4 November).

The English national average is 352.5, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 343.5.

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and two in the last seven days (as at 14 November).

There was one coronavirus-related death reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.

That takes the total to 693 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).

There were four coronavirus patients admitted to the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust trust on 7 November, and 73 patients in hospital on 9 November. In the previous seven days, 35 Covid patients were admitted – down 20.
