Monday update: Ten more Covid patients in York trust hospitals

A further 274 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Monday, 24 January).

That takes the cumulative case total to 45,478 – giving an overall infection rate of 21,552.3 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 1,917 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 180 (-8.6%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 868.2 new cases per 100,000 people (1,832 cases in the week to 20 January). That’s down from 913.7 in the previous seven days (1,928 cases in the week to 13 January).

The English national average is 985, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 1,067.1.

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and two in the last seven days (as at 24 January).
