Monday update: Another 120 coronavirus cases confirmed in York

A further 120 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Monday, 1 November).

That takes the cumulative case total to 25,553 – giving an overall infection rate of 12,109.7 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 938 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 28 (3.1%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 444.1 new cases per 100,000 people (937 cases in the week to 28 October). That’s up from 412.8 in the previous seven days (871 cases in the week to 21 October).

The English national average is 422.5, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 415.1.

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and two in the last seven days (as at 1 November).

  • 6,973 in Craven (up 37) – 558.1.

There were two coronavirus-related death reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.

That takes the total to 679 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).

There were ten coronavirus patients admitted to the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust trust on 24 October, and 61 in the previous seven days (up 22).
