Monday update: 60 more coronavirus cases in York

A further 60 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Monday, 4 October).

That takes the cumulative case total to 22,450 – giving an overall infection rate of 10,639.2 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days 500 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – up 2 (0.4%) week on week.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 234.6 new cases per 100,000 people (495 cases).

The English national average is 339.6, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 424.7.

There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and three in the last seven days (as at 4 October).

In North Yorkshire, there were 369 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 62,234 – an infection rate of 10,027.9 cases per 100K.

There are:

  • 10,242 in Selby (up 59) – 448.2
  • 16,890 in Harrogate (up 130) – 580.6
  • 8,761 in Hambleton (up 52) – 475.4
  • 11,352 in Scarborough (up 59) – 504.9
  • 5,216 in Richmondshire (up 22) – 331.3
  • 5,750 in Craven (up 36) – 418.6.

There were no coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.

That leaves the total at 654 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).

There were four coronavirus patients admitted to the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust trust on 26 September, and 31 in the previous seven days (down nine).
