There were 47 more coronavirus cases confirmed in York today (Monday, 21 December).
It takes the cumulative total to 6,166 – giving an overall infection rate of 2,927.6 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days there have been 248 positive Covid-19 tests in York – an increase of 104 (72.2%) week on week.
The latest validated data shows a coronavirus rate in York of 84.5 in the seven days to 15 December.

In North Yorkshire, there were 190 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 15,388 – an infection rate of 2,489.8 cases per 100K.
There are 859 cases in Ryedale (up 17), 2,438 in Selby (up 28), 3,998 in Harrogate (up 31), 1,900 in Hambleton (up 28), 3,536 in Scarborough (up 61), 1,143 in Richmondshire (up 13) and 1,514 in Craven (up 12).
There were no more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.
That leaves the total at 345 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).
