‘It’s over the towpath and right up to the gate’

Carol, whose home is right next to the iron bridge on the River Foss in York, is very concerned. It flooded in 2015 and there was lots of damage.

She was surveying the river this morning.

“It’s over the towpath and right up to the gate,” she told David Dunning on YorkMix Radio.

Carol got an alert from the Environment Agency at 5am this morning and is hoping the river doesn’t rise much further.
