Harry Gration’s twin sons celebrate A level success at dad’s old school
They’re a chip off the old block – twice over!
Meet Harrison and Harvey, two of the young people who are celebrating some excellent A level grades today.
And if you think they look quite familiar – well, their dad was a fixture on our tellies for 42 years.
Harrison and Harvey are the sons of BBC favourite Harry Gration, who joined the corporation in 1978 and fronted Look North for many years.
Like Harry, the twins went to school at St Peter’s.
They collectively achieved 4 A*s and 2 As. Harrison achieved 1 A* and 2 As and will go on to study at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London, specialising in
voice. Harvey achieved 3 A*s alongside his role as cricket captain for the 1st XI at St Peter’s School and will go on to study English at Exeter.
Harry, 70, and his wife Helen also have a young son Hamilton, who will be two in October, born after the couple travelled to Cyprus for IVF treatment.
Harry also has three children from two previous marriages.
