‘Hard work and perseverance’ pays off for students, says York schools lead
The man in charge of schools in York has passed on his congratulations to the success of the city’s GCSE students today.
Cllr Andrew Waller, the council’s executive member for children, young people and education, said: “I’d like to offer my warmest congratulations to all the students receiving their GCSE results today.
“Given the difficult times that students will have been through with Covid disruptions the results are testament to their hard work and perseverance, together with the support of their parents, carers and teachers.
“I hope their results provide a springboard to the next stage of their learning or entry to work.”
