Fire service deals with several crashes and vehicles stranded in snow

North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service were called to numerous problems last night.

They were:

7.57pm Sutton Bank, Thirsk 
A crew from Thirsk responded to a report of a two vehicle collision. On arrival of crews, all occupants were out of their vehicles and one female casualty was treated for minor injuries. Crews made the scene safe and left the incident in the hands of the police.

12.38am Westerdale, Stokesley
A crew from Danby responded to a report of a vehicle that had become stranded due to snow. Crews located the van and guided it to a safe location.

1.08am Bolton Abbey, Skipton
A crew from Skipton responded to a report of a vehicle that had become stranded due to snow blocking the road. Crews located the vehicle that had left the road and ended in a ditch. Crews transported two male occupants travelling from Middlesbrough to Blackpool, uninjured, to the fire station to arrange recovery of the vehicle.

3.10am A59, Hazelwood
A crew from Skipton in a 4×4 vehicle responded to a report of a vehicle that had become stranded due to snow in a lay-by on the A59. Crews located the vehicle and transported 2 female occupants travelling from Leeds to Harrogate, uninjured, to the fire station.
