Crash causing slow traffic at busy North Yorkshire junction

A rush hour crash is causing traffic problems this morning (Wednesday, 8 November).

It is on the A1M Northbound from junction 46 – the B1224 Racecourse Approach (Wetherby) to junction 47 A59 (York / Allerton Park).

The AA is reporting slow traffic in the area.

It says: “Delays of eight minutes and delays increasing on A1(M) Northbound between J46 B1224 Racecourse Approach (Wetherby) and J47 A59 (Allerton Park). Average speed ten mph.”

There is also slow traffic on the A59 around Kirk Hammerton Lane due to roadworks.
