York road closed by car fire – Emergency services on scene
A car fire is causing hazardous driving conditions on a main road in York this lunchtime (Tuesday, 16 January).
It is on the A19 Shipton Road between to the A1237 outer ring road and Riverside Farm pub.
YorkMix listener Dan called to say that thick black smoke was billowing across both carriageways making driving difficult.
And Victoria contacted us to say the road was closed in both directions with emergency services on the scene.
