A64 blocked by fallen tree – It’s causing two miles of tailbacks

The A64 eastbound at Flaxton between York and Malton is blocked due to a fallen tree.

Police say please take care while they work to remove it and take an alternative route where possible.

Fire crews are also at the scene.

It’s near Flaxton Moor (the junction with Main Street for Stamford Bridge)

There’s two miles of congestion and long delays in both directions.

Police tweeted: “The A64 eastbound at Flaxton between York and Malton is blocked due to a fallen tree. Please take care while we work to remove it and take an alternative route where possible. Thank you.”
