Yorktoberfest – York’s big celebration of all things Bavarian – is back in full swing from tomorrow (Thursday).
In true Oktoberfest tradition, it brings beer, bratwurst and lots of oompah to a giant Bavarian-styled beer tent at York Racecourse until Sunday (31 October).
And the organisers have just released a strictly limited number of VIP tables for all sessions.

The tables, priced at £135 (£22.50 per person), are situated closest to the stage with table service for food and drink.
A Yorktoberfest spokesperson said: “Enjoy some hearty fun with friends – the New York Oompah Brass Band is sure to get you on your feet with thigh-slapping, foot-stomping Oktoberfest tunes as well as feel-good disco classics, while acclaimed drag artist Velma Celli will add to the party with her powerhouse vocals and outrageous humour!
“And in true Oktoberfest tradition there’s a vintage funfair outside for even more thrills.”
The session times are Thursday, Friday and Saturday 7-11pm; Saturday and Sunday, 1-5pm. Full details on the Yorktoberfest website.
