An international line up of the hottest current and upcoming romance writers descend on York this spring.

The Tattooed Bad Boys signing event will focus on authors who write hot alpha characters, be they rock stars, bikers, MMA fighters or the rest.

Unlike a traditional in-store book signing where you only have one author, this event has attracted 50 authors from around the world.

And it raises money for good causes – the highly successful 2015 event brought in more than £2,000 for local charities.

Overwhelming response

York author Helen Stothard, who writes under the pen name Ava Manello, organised the first event in order to satisfy demand from readers in the UK who see events like this happening abroad but not in Britain.

It was only supposed to be a one-off, but the response was so overwhelming that she agreed to run it again.

“I wanted to create something different for the UK readers,” Helen said.

“The majority of our attending authors are self published which means that they can’t be found in local bookstores, their paperbacks are only found on Amazon and their eBooks are found on digital platforms such as iBooks, Kindle, Nook and Kobo.

“There’s a huge demand to meet these authors and with York being such a beautiful and family friendly city it seemed the perfect location to bring everyone together.”
