Emergency services were called to reports of an aircraft coming down near York this afternoon (Sunday).
Police and fire crews were called out after 3pm to a field in Dunnington.
Acomb Fire Station tweeted: “Crews from Acomb, Huntington and Tadcaster have attended a light aircraft crash.
“The pilot completed an emergency landing into a carrot field with no injuries.”
North Yorkshire Police said: “Officer have attended a report of aircraft in a field near Dunnington, York.
“The pilot safely landed the aircraft after an in air emergency. No one has been injured and the only casualties are some carrots.”
