Lendal Bridge has been cordoned off by York police.
The bridge and Dame Judi Dench Walk were closed after an incident around 3am this morning (Friday). An investigation is ongoing.
Police are at the scene, but have not released any details yet as to what has happened.

Anyone who was travelling on the bridge at around 3am this morning to contact them on 101.
Lendal Bridge is closed to traffic. First York is having to divert buses away from the bridge:
