After a long battle to save it, the Norton and Malton Skatepark has opened once again this afternoon.
Campaigners, led by Ryan Swain, have worked hard to refurbish the park and now it’s ready for use including a couple of new ramps.
There is still work to be done to get the iconic halfpipe up and running but Ryan says he’s delighted that the safety inspection by RoSPA gave the all clear today (Monday)
Ryan said: “They were very complimentary, which means it’s now officially open and everyone can use it.”
