If you’ve not yet seen the spectacular light show at York Minster, you haven’t much time left.
Thousands of people have watched in awe as the South Transept of the Minster is brought to life by the Colour And Light projections.
Commissioned by the York BID (Business Improvement District), the sound and light show was created by Double Take Projections and opened on 10 February.
The free show, on an eight minute loop, runs between 6pm and 9pm – and the last showing is tonight, Thursday, 23 February.
The show has been a huge success, with pictures and video of the projections being shared far and wide on social media.
If you can’t make it, don’t despair. More may be coming.
On the first night, we asked Carl Alsop of the York BID if more locations in York could lit up by animated projections like this one.
He told us: “I’d like to think so And I certainly hope so.
“We’ll see how successful this is. If people like it then, maybe the first of many!”
