There’s fun for the whole family at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) this May half term – as kids go free.
New for 2023, NYMR have introduced Kids Go Free where children (aged 15 and below) will travel for nothing at all times.
The heritage railway has also introduced a 12-month Unlimited Annual Pass, where visitors can visit as many times within the year for £45.
Single-use, shorter journeys tickets can now also be purchased for £15 and allow passengers to travel up to two stops.
On board, families can enjoy 24 miles of railway while taking in the sights of the North York Moors National Park.
Visitors can also explore the heritage stations and engine sheds to see how the engineers maintain and conserve the locomotives – and why not top off the day with an afternoon tea at one of the tea rooms.
The NYMR is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and have launched a new Station Stories app – which enables passengers to learn more about the history of Goathland Station and the people who have worked there.
The app also includes an audio descriptive tour to accompany the visit, and is available to download on Apple and Android.
For more information and to purchase tickets during May half term visit the NYMR website.
