Just booked: Singer-songwriter Ben Folds is coming to York
American singer-songwriter, musician, and composer Ben Folds is heading out on tour this year — and he’s coming to York!
Known as one of the ‘major music influencers of our generation’, his body of genre-bending music includes a string of classic albums with Ben Folds Five while also performing with some of the world’s greatest symphony orchestras.
Ben Folds is at Grand Opera House York on Thursday 16 November 2023.
Ben is currently serving as the first ever artistic advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center and recently earned an Emmy nomination for his composition of a new theme song for a popular Peanuts TV special.
He returns with What Matters Most, his first studio album in eight years. “More than anything I wanted to make an album that was generous, that was useful” said Ben. “This perhaps more than any record I’ve made is a true album.”
Ben will combine his new album with his own choice of songs from his whole career on his new tour.
Tickets go on general sale tomorrow at 10am tomorrow (Thursday) and will be available here.
