Sir David Suchet is coming to York in his eagerly awaited return to UK stages.
Poirot and More, A Retrospective will be visiting York Theatre Royal on Wednesday 13 October 2021 for two performances.
It will look back fondly at Sir David’s illustrious career and share some of his most beloved performances in a new and intimate light.
The stop at York forms part of a tour that will visit more than 20 theatres across the UK, which will retrace Sir David’s steps as a young actor.
The show has already had a successful tour of Australia and New Zealand in early 2020.

Sir David said, “Regional theatre has always been very close to my heart as it’s where my career started and was nurtured.
“To visit so many places that have meant so much to me during my 52 year career is wonderful.”
Sir David will be interviewed on stage by journalist, broadcaster, biographer and co-author of Poirot and Me Geoffrey Wansell, in what will surely be an interesting conversation.
In a career spanning five decades, Sir David has portrayed many characters on stage and screen.
Perhaps best known for playing Agatha Christie’s exquisitely moustached Belgian detective Poirot, Sir David has also brought many literary greats to life on stage such as Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde.
He is an Emmy award winner, a seven-time Olivier Award Nominee and in 2020 was knighted for services to drama and charity.
