City of York Council will be launching the i-Travel York Journey Planner at a series of events taking place from Monday 7 October until Friday 11 October.
The events will give residents the chance to try out Yorkshire’s first multi-modal Journey Planner on a range of mobile tablets and PCs. The planner allows people to plan a journey around York, or to/from York to anywhere in the UK, and compare options for walking, cycling, public transport or driving routes.
Roadshow events will be taking place on:
- 7 October, St Helens Square, 10am – 4pm
- 8 October, Asda Monks Cross, 12pm – 4pm
- 9 October, Tesco Askham Bar, 12pm – 4pm
- 10 October, Tesco Clifton Moor, 12pm – 4pm
- 11 October, Monks Cross shopping centre, 11am – 4pm
Cllr Dave Merrett, Cabinet Member for Transport, Planning and Sustainability, said: “The journey planner is a great tool for people to use in York. Therefore we aim to help people get to grips with the planner at these road shows to help them integrate it into everyday life.”
