North Yorkshire Police’s new Chief Constable Dave Jones is hosting a webchat between 5pm and 6.30pm this coming Monday (17 June 2013).
Residents are invited to take part in the question and answer session, giving local people a direct opportunity to raise the crime and anti-social behaviour issues that matter most to communities across North Yorkshire and the City of York.
To join the webchat go to the special page on the North Yorkshire police website. You can also set yourself an email reminder in advance so you don’t miss it!
Residents who are unable to take part in the live webchat are encouraged to send in their questions to Chief Constable Jones via the North Yorkshire Police Twitter account @NYorksPolice using the hashtag #AskTheChief
Chief Constable Jones, who took up his post on 3 June, said: “In the short time that I have been Chief Constable of North Yorkshire Police, I have made it my priority to go out and meet as many of our officers, staff and key partners as possible to get a real grasp of the policing demands and priorities in the force area.
“Equally, I am very keen to take on board the views of residents so we meet the needs of the community by ensuring our resources are targeted in the right places and at the right times.
“The webchat on Monday allows people to ask me policing-related questions that they care about most. I will do my very best to respond there and then.
“I look forward to you joining me for what should be a very interesting and informative session.”
