John Lewis York: Fashion brands revealed
The countdown to the much-anticipated new John Lewis store in York continued today (March 28) as the retailer announced which fashion brands it will stock.
Due to open on Thursday, April 10 at the Vangarde Shopping Park, Monks Cross, the new shop will stock more than 30 different fashion and accessory brands available for men and women.
Major fashion brands on offer will include Seasalt, Ted Baker, Wishbone, Whistles, Levis and Jigsaw.
The store’s own brands will feature, such as JOHN LEWIS & co, Kin by John Lewis and Somerset by Alice Temperley.
More than 70 fashion accessory ranges, covering jewellery, watches and handbags, will include Alex Monroe, Michael Kors, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Rotary, Lulu Guinness and Calvin Klein.
The John Lewis personal styling service will also be available, where customers can book appointments with trained personal stylists in store.
Robert Garnish, branch manager at John Lewis York, said: “We’re extremely excited about the range of fashion brands that will be available at the new shop, and about being able to offer a completely new shopping experience for customers in York.
“We will have a full range of fashion items available for people of all ages, ranging from really high-end brands to simple every day wear.”

There are 212 different buttons being stocked in Haberdashery
There are 544 units of pillows arriving for York, laid end to end, they would stretch 360 metres, more than the length of three football pitches
Over 6,000 units of lingerie will be delivered
2,409 different beauty products are being unpacked
749 different types of greeting cards will be available
