James Bond drops in at a York bar – as his new movie finally hits cinemas

His name is Bond, James Bond. Or is it?
Customers at York bar The Artful Dodger did a double take when 007 star Daniel Craig popped in for a drink. (Pint of Tonkoko milk stout from Brew York. Shaken, not stirred.)
In fact it wasn’t DC at all, but professional Bond lookalike John Love.
The latest Bond movie No Time To Die is the last starring Daniel Craig as the master spy – and it is in cinemas from today (Thursday).
Marc Allinson, who runs the Artful Dodger, told YorkMix: “Business is booming for John with Bond being back on the big screen.”
John is also an actor, and the 34-year-old Scot is about to make his leading feature film debut in a York thriller penned by local writer Andrea Louise Watson, who is also starring in the film.

The dark thriller follows husband wife detective team as they investigate the murder of a young jogger and the secrets unearthed will shake their world.
Filming is set to take place around the city early next year. More announcements about the film are to follow.
