York Creatives will belatedly launch their much-awaited evening at Shambles Market this week.
The York Creatives Night Market will feature artists and independent traders, along with street food, drinks and music.
The new event was postponed from its original August date after safety concerns, but will be taking place on its new date of Friday 17 September between 7pm and 10:30pm.
In response to the safety concerns, the organisers have added additional security measures to ensure that everyone stays safe and has a good time.
Entry and exit points to the night market will be via Silver Street and Patrick Pool.
The market area can be accessed on foot and is wheelchair and scooter friendly. Level access toilets will be located on Silver Street.
There will be a wide range of traders at the Night Market including artists, jewellery makers, wood carvers, handmade soap and candle manufacturers, vintage clothing boutiques and more.
York based record collector and DJ Jon Baker-Hood, aka Upside Your Mind, will also be on hand spinning vinyl from 9pm to 10:30pm.
The event is free entry and visitors can look forward to an evening of celebrating art and independent culture.
