Detectives investigating a serious sexual assault against a 19-year-old woman in York have renewed their appeal for information.
The woman was attacked in the early hours of Wednesday May 30 at an unknown address in the city.
Detectives want to identify the man in the pictures as they believe he may have vital information about the incident.
Officers believe the man is in his late teens to early 20s and is around the age to either be a student or to socialise with students.
Their renewed appeal comes as people return to the city to study. At the time of the offence the man is believed to have lived in the Tang Hall area of the city.
Vital witness traced
North Yorkshire Police originally appealed for information in June.
At that time they asked for a vital witness, a taxi driver who picked up a man and woman from Clifford Street and took them to Fourth Avenue, to come forward.
This person has since been traced.
Anyone who recognises the man in the image is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police – details below.
