Intruder runs off after resident finds him exploring their home in the middle of the night
A homeowner was shocked to encounter a burglar inside their home early today (Tuesday).
It happened on Maythorn Road, Huntington, York, at 4am.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said a man entered through the front door. “The suspect was challenged and made off – it is not believed anything was stolen.
“We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
The suspect is described as:
- white
- about 40-50 years of age
- 5ft 6 or 7 ins tall
- overweight
- possibly bald
- and clean shaven.
He was wearing a dirty blue surgical mask, a black woolly Kangol hat, a dark green/khaki waterproof bomber jacket, and light-coloured trousers.
