His video rants have clocked up a gazillion views on Facebook and YouTube.
And soon York will experience his righteous fury IRL, as Jonathan Pie brings his live show to the Barbican.
The news reporter who’s off-camera, off-colour tirades get more views than the real bulletins, is going on tour in 2018.
He will be here in York next February with his new tour, Jonathan Pie – Back To The Studio. So brace yourselves…
Angrier than ever
Despite selling out the London Palladium earlier this year, Pie is angrier than ever. He will attempt to host a night of serious discussions on current affairs whilst simultaneously attempting to smash the system from within.
Join him for a night of political comedy that soon descends into chaos.
Pie is the creation of English comedian and actor Tom Walker.
He got his first airing after Jeremy Corbyn was elected Labour leader and Tom was indignant “at the way in which the press ‘pounced on him with… blatant fucking lies’.
Pie’s rant about why Donald Trump got elected made him into a worldwide star.
His first live tour was described as “electrifying” by comedy website Chortle.
And Pie is “the most exciting satirical creation since partridge” according to the comedian Rory Bremner.
